Hypedome bubble pods create an intimate, private space in any environment. A great way to make them feel even cosier, and add a touch of luxury, is with Hype.Wall insulated panels.
In an office setting, a clear dome is transformed into an inviting, quiet space where you can conduct meetings undisturbed by outside noise. A glamping dome becomes an intimate bedroom, protected from the first rays of the sun – as well as any neighbours that may be able to see in!
Best of all, these panels come with an insulated core – so you can create the perfect climate for your secluded space. And because they have soundproofing properties that work both ways, what happens inside the pod will stay private, too.
What are Hype.Wall Panels?
Hype.Wall Panels are upholstered, interior panels that fit the inside of the pod. They turn a clear dome into a cosy bedroom or office that’s protected from the sun and glare – not to mention curious neighbours! Individual panels are hexagon shaped, like the wall segments, and go up in a fish-scale pattern.
These panels are a great fit for the Hypedome glamping pod, allowing you to turn a stylish shelter into a cosy retreat with stunning views anywhere you like. For inspiration, imagine a warm summer’s evening in one of these Sky Dome Villas, watching the sun go down over the bay of Santorini. Or have a look at how Belgian restaurateur Rik Terlyn has added a glamping cove to his spot by the river, so guests can sleep under the stars and wake up to the sounds of birds calling and water trickling by.
Enhancing Dome Ambiance with Hype.Wall Panels
Hype.Wall Panels don’t just insulate; they completely transform the interior ambiance of a dome. Their snug fit and soundproofing properties create a cosy, intimate atmosphere, perfect for a home office, retreat, or glamping spot. Imagine stepping inside your dome and feeling an immediate shift – like walking into a warm, boutique hotel room. The panels soften the space, making it more inviting and luxurious, ideal for anyone seeking both comfort and style.
Hype.Wall Layout
Depending on the size of your dome, a full set consists of either 71 or 91 panels and fits into a predefined position inside the dome. This covers nearly 70% of the dome’s surface, creating a panoramic window at the front. If you feel creative, you can adjust them to your own needs – for example, fewer panels can be installed to make different configurations or individual panels can be removed to create windows.
Below we present the two predefined layouts of Hype.Wall Panels.
Materials
Hype.Wall hexagons are made with hotel-grade textiles and are finished with quality stitching along the sides. They instantly make the dome’s interior cosier and give it a premium look & feel. The inner layer is highly durable but very tactile upholstery fabric, while the outside is a waterproof layer which prevents any condensation coming through. Inside, a thermal-core layer of polyethene foam with two aluminium screens provides insulation properties.
Assembly
The Hype.Wall Panels have to be assembled in a certain order, but each one is labelled, and the step-by-step instructions include a map so you can’t go wrong. Installation is straightforward and takes around 2 hours. The panels can be retrofitted onto the existing dome, and easily taken down if needed.
Main Features
Insulation
The most important feature of the Hype.Wall Panels are their insulating qualities. The inside foam layer, combined with the air trapped between the panels and the walls, helps maintain the interior temperature of the dome. It offers the thermal conductivity coefficient λ=0,029 W/mK and 85% radiation heat reflectance.
Panels help to control the climate and prevent the dome from overheating in the summer. In the winter months, they make it much easier to keep the interior warm when paired with a heat source e.g. an electric heater fan.
Soundproofing
These insulated panels also help soundproof the pod, which adds to the feeling of privacy (also good for romantic getaways!). We particularly love our office pods for 1-on-1 meetings, because of the optimum concentration conditions. This is also a great feature if you want to provide a ‘deep work zone’ for your employees. Our HR Manager Agnieszka always uses them for interviewing potential candidates, because she knows that she and her interviewees can speak candidly without being overheard. What is said in a Hypedome stays in a Hypedome!
Liquid Block Technology
The textiles used to make the wall panels are impregnated with liquid block technology, which makes them moisture-repellant and therefore resistant to mould and bacteria. They’re also Oeko-Tex® certified, meaning no environmentally harmful dyes were used in their production.
Colours and Design
The Hype.Wall Panels are currently available for all Hypedome S, Hypedome M and Hypedome L models, including clear, grey, mirror and opal finishes. They also come in two colours – cloud (a soft grey great for blending with sky views) and mocha (perfect if you are surrounded by woods).
Packaging
Depending on your dome model, the panels come in two to four flat-packed packages, each weighing no more than 20 kg/44 lb. They can be easily lifted by one person and include all the tools you need, together with the assembly manual.
Maintenance
Because of the liquid-block technology the Hype.Wall Panels repel moisture and are therefore easy to clean with water and a sponge. In case of stubborn dirt you can use a mild detergent, but don’t let them get completely wet, and never machine wash, iron or tumble dry the panels.
Real-life Uses of Hype.Wall Panels
Several creative projects have embraced Hype.Wall Panels to transform domes into cosy, inviting spaces. The Samadhi Hypedome in New Zealand uses these panels to create a serene retreat for Airbnb guests, blending comfort with the natural surroundings. In the Alpine Nature Experience eco-village, the panels provide year-round insulation, allowing guests to enjoy the snowy Australian Alps or summer scenery with ease and comfort. Adam and Chantal’s sky dome in London showcases how customizable the panels are, creating a chic, multifunctional urban space for personal and professional use. Meanwhile, a glamping dome at Villa Vilan in Sweden features a unique panel layout, providing a secluded, cozy escape while being fully integrated into the natural surroundings.
