Meet Tal Drori, co-founder of a talent management agency overseeing theatrical, TV, and film projects. Based primarily in Los Angeles, Tal splits some of his time between LA and New York – but his backyard has now become his favorite place to work. After renovating his house, he found the perfect addition: the Hypedome S Clear, which became his dream garden office.

Q: Tal, what first sparked your interest in having a dome in your garden?
Tal: When I lived in New York, I saw a dome at a rooftop restaurant. It was so beautiful and symmetric, with an incredible shape that really stood out. I remember thinking, “One day, I want one of these.” Back then I didn’t have a garden, but once we moved to LA with a proper backyard, I thought, okay, it’s about time.
I just fell in love with the shape. The funny thing is, from the outside it looks quite small, but once you step inside, it feels surprisingly spacious. It really puts everything in a different perspective.

Q: How did you go about choosing Hypedome?
Tal: I did some research, read reviews, checked social media, and watched videos. Hypedome seemed like the best quality and best value for money. The reviews were amazing, so I felt confident about my choice. When it arrived, I was so happy – it looked like a dream come true.

Q: Can you describe the installation experience?
Tal: I absolutely loved it! It reminded me of building Lego – very satisfying to see how all the pieces fit together. I wouldn’t want anyone to install it for me! The instructions were clear and logical, and the structure itself is so cleverly engineered. I recommend having one or two people to help. I did it with one other person, and it was great. There was a moment I struggled a bit, but I found Hypedome’s videos online, and it all made sense. I even thought, I’d love to build another dome, just because it was so much fun!
Q: Tell us about the setting of your Hypedome.
Tal: The dome is on a hill in our backyard. We built a round deck supported by posts to level out the slope, then placed the dome on top. It’s partly under a big tree, which provides nice shade most of the day. That helps keep it cool, even during hot LA summers when temperatures can hit 100°F (about 40°C). And at night, when it’s around 58°F (14-15°C), it still feels comfortable inside.

Q: How do you actually use your Hypedome?
Tal: It’s my garden office – my private space. I work from there on weekends and sometimes during the week. I love being able to see animals like squirrels, coyotes, deer, and raccoons while I’m on my computer. It feels like working in nature, but with a roof over my head. The internet connection is strong, and I even take Zoom calls from there. People always ask, “Where are you?”, and I tell them, “You need to see this! I’m inside my dome!”
Sometimes my dog joins me, and even my chickens wander in while I work. It’s a calm place to disconnect from the usual office environment.
Q: Did you have any concerns about weather or maintenance?
Tal: I was a bit worried about rain, because we had a period of strong rain in LA – pretty unusual here. But nothing leaked, it was completely rainproof. I felt confident enough to leave my computer and furniture inside. Also, cleaning the dome turned out to be easier than I expected!
Q: Has working from the dome changed your daily routine?
Tal: Absolutely. I stay working later because it doesn’t feel like a regular office. It’s quiet, calm, and relaxing. The days go by fast there, and it’s really inspiring. You feel surrounded by nature, but protected – the experience is totally different from any normal workspace. I enjoy it every single day.

Q: What would you say to someone who is hesitating about getting a Hypedome?
Tal: I’d say, compared to other outdoor structures, it’s the best quality, best value, and the best experience. Nothing compares to it. Even if you went to Home Depot or similar, you wouldn’t get anything close to this. The price is fair, and the experience is unbeatable. The Hypedome is so versatile – you can use it as a garden office, for kids, for animals, or a creative space. I recommend it to anyone with a garden. It’s life-changing, honestly.
Q: Anything else you’d like to add?
Tal: I love that Hypedome keeps innovating. I saw online that you can now connect two domes – that’s so futuristic. Also, the engineering is incredibly precise; if even one piece was off, it wouldn’t work, but everything fits perfectly. That’s what makes installation so smooth and the dome fully rainproof. The shipping and customer service were excellent, really impressive overall.

What started as a spark of inspiration on a rooftop in New York has now found its place on a sunlit hillside in Los Angeles, where Tal’s Hypedome stands as a peaceful retreat. Between the rhythm of his work and the calm of nature, he has found a new way to live and create – protected from the elements, yet connected to the world around him.
